In September of 2004 as Hurricane Ivan headed toward the Gulf Coast of Pensacola, Florida and Alabama, Chris Stinson wanted a Fast, Simple and Cost Effective method for protecting the windows and doors of his home without the use of nails or screws. Nails and Screws would have damaged the exterior stucco of his home. Chris looked for products but was not satisfied with the way they were designed to be installed, so he came up with his own tool now called the
Hurricane Bar. Hurricane Ivan hit Pensacola with winds in excess of 135 m.p.h. causing billions of dollars of property damage along the Panhandle of Florida and South Alabama coastline. However, among all the destruction the
Hurricane Bar performed great, in fact performing so well Chris decided to make the Hurricane Bar available for distribution to others living in hurricane prone areas.
